2" x 8"-10" Triple Zinc Slant Nail Double Joist Hanger The JUS28-2TZ Triple Zinc Slant Nail Double Joist Hanger offers double shear nailing. The dimple allows for 30- to 5-degree nailing through the joist into the header resulting in higher loads and less nailing. Slant nailing also eliminates the need for shorter joist nails in 2x applications. It is constructed of 18-gauge steel with a triple zinc finish.Use all specified fasteners: (6) 16d nails for header and (4) 16d nails for joistDimensions in description reflect nominal lumber sizesFor use with treated lumberJoist nails must be driven in at 30-45° angle through joist or truss into header to achieve listed loads; standard length "double shear" nails must be used to achieve listed load values16d sinkers (9 gauge x 3-1/4") may be used where 10d commons specified with no load reductionSimpson Strong Tie® Reference Number: LUS28-2Z
