Delivery Expectations

Welcome to Making Dreams Happen Corporation, where we make your construction needs a breeze! Our commitment to quality service and flexible delivery options sets us apart. Explore our policies and offerings below.

Standard Deliveries: 

Base Delivery Cost (Within city limits)

$10 

Per 10 Miles Out of Town (10 Mile Minimum)

Example: 35 mile delivery would cost $50
($10 Base + $40 for up to 40 miles)
 

  

Deliveries Requiring Piggyback / Forklift:

While we will make every reasonable effort to place your product as close as possible to its intended location, additional charges will apply for extra services such as placing the product in a specific area other than where it can be unloaded from a flatbed truck or offloaded directly from the truck.

  • Drywall - $1.00 per sheet inside the main level.
  • Drywall - $2.00 per sheet to lower level and/or 2nd floor. No deliveries beyond lower level or 2nd floor.

*Note: No extra fees beyond the flat delivery charge for bulk stack deliveries to accessible job sites.

  • Roofing - Please ask sales associate for options in roof top deliveries.

*Note: We prioritize safety and reserve the right to withhold delivery to unsafe areas or during adverse weather conditions.

Returns: Credit, Exchange and Refunds

Returns of regularly stocked items are accepted within 90 days of the original purchase and are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • All returned items must be accompanied by their original receipt, in their original packaging, unused, and in good condition.
  • Lumber and panel items must not be cut, weathered, or show any signs of use to be eligible for credit.
  • We cannot offer returns for special order items, items marked as final sale, or items sold more than 90 days ago.
  • Refunds will be issued on eligible purchases within the last 30 days using the original method of payment. If payment was made by check, refunds will be subject to a 21-day waiting period, after which a company check will be issued.
  • Store credit or exchange is available for purchases older than 30 days but still within the 90 day return policy. 
  • Returns of large quantities may take up to 5 business days to process due to verification procedures.
  • If you require a pickup of returns from your jobsite, pickup fees, and a handling charge will apply.

Special Order Policy:

  • Special Order items require fully paid upon ordering.
  • Special orders cannot be canceled once they have been placed with our suppliers.
  • We are not responsible for production delays or unforeseen circumstances that may delay the delivery of any special order. We will provide an estimated lead time for your item to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee a specific timeframe.
  • Customers may be asked to sign a form acknowledging our special order policies and confirming that they have reviewed the order for accuracy.
  • Please note: No returns or refunds are accepted for Special Order items.

Estimates / Quotes

  • PRICING: Estimates / Quotes are valid for 7 days from the Estimate / Quote Date and must be accepted by the Expiration Date.
  • Delivery of all materials must occur within 40 days from the Expiration Date; otherwise, pricing may be adjusted.
  • Estimates / Quotes apply to specified quantity and material type, including wall panels and trusses, even if lead times exceed 40 days.
  • Estimates / Quotes are subject to clerical errors and judgment in quantities and specifications. Please review quotes carefully.
  • We may adjust pricing for selective purchasing.
  • RESTOCK: Unused stock materials returned to Seller may incur up to a 25% handling charge.
  • No returns or refunds are accepted for Special Order items.
  • No credit for returns of dirty, weathered, damaged, or unusable merchandise.

 

Returns & Refunds for Online Purchases

How to Return Items Purchased Online:

Before initiating the return process, please read the Requirements for Returns section below.

  • To return an item, please email Customer Service at cs@mdhlumber.com and attach a copy of your original purchase invoice.
  • Online Returns are subject to the same return policy as In-Store Returns.
  • If there are multiple items on the invoice, please indicate in the email which item you want to return.
  • One of our associates will review your request and send you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form via email.
  • You must include a copy of this RMA with the items you wish to receive credit for.

Additional Requirements for Online Returns:

  • An RMA form must accompany the item(s) being returned from an online purchase.

 

Cost of Returning Items:

  • All costs associated with returning a product, including courier fees, are the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

 

Refunds:

If all the return requirements are met, the original purchase amount, not including the original shipping charges, will be refunded using the original method of payment. If the requirements are not met, no refund will be given. In such cases, the customer will be contacted and given the option of having the item(s) returned to them, the customer will be responsible for the freight charges.

Please note that it may take up to 30 days for the return to be processed and for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. If you do not see your refund or haven't been contacted by our Customer Service Department within 30 days, please email Customer Service at cs@mdhlumber.com and request an update regarding your return. Please include the RMA number of your return in the subject line of your email.
